In our line of work, we’re constantly inspired and motivated by the generosity and selflessness we find in our volunteers. Each and every day, we’re lucky to be surrounded by individuals who put dogs in need first and help us find them good forever homes. Now, we are calling on that same spirit to help push our organization to a new level.

Here at Peace & Paws, the biggest obstacle we run into is finding enough foster and forever homes. Day in and day out, we find ourselves taking in dogs without a foster or forever home lined up, because the idea of leaving these dogs in shelters or on the streets is so heartbreaking. We’ve decided the time has come to take matters into our own hands and create a space for these dogs right here in New England.

We’re proud to announce our newest project, the Ruff House Retreat. Once the construction project is completed, this adoption center will serve as a temporary home for over 500 dogs each year. We will have a place to bring the dogs from the shelters where we will give them the time and space they need to become emotionally and physically prepared for their adoptive families. Potential adopters can come to the Ruff House Retreat and visit with the dogs up close and personal before making the decision to adopt.

We’ve kicked off the construction of the facility with approximately $25,000 dollars you, our community, provided through Giddy & Twinkle Calendar sales. We need to raise an additional $90,000 to complete the project.

We are asking you to help us raise $70,000 through an online campaign before the end of the year.

We are offering some great Peace and Paws perks and every dollar we raise gets us one step closer to rescuing another dog/puppy from a shelter and then puts that dog/puppy one step closer to its forever home.
